This is a beautiful hooting owl clock, with very detailed carvings of owls and leaves surrounding a Black Forest chalet or cottage. This clock has a special mechanism that reproduces the slow “hoot” of an owl.
This clock is hand made in the Black Forest in Germany. The mechanical brass movement is driven by two weights shaped like pine cones and time escapes with the tick of a traditional pendulum that swings back and forth. The owl call sound is made by two wooden whistles with bellows inside the clock case. This clock is made of linden wood and is considered a green clock. When a tree is harvested to produce these fine clocks another tree is replanted.

The OWL cuckoo clock is meticulously hand-carved. The two decorative owls are charming and remarkably life-like. The hooting owl is also cute and real-to-life.
The raptor owl's hoo-hoot is melodious and just the right volume. The clock keeps perfect time (with an adjustable pendulum). The entire clock oozes fine Black Forrest craftsmanship, materials and tradition. It is a bargain for its cost.
The vendor personally contacted me by phone and E-Mail about shipping dates. She was very polite and knowledgeable and also employed educated speech.
