Musical Chalet Cuckoo Clock with Dancing Deer, Model #1386

Deer, frolicking fawns, turning water wheel, trees and dancers. Plays 1 of 2 melodies after the call of cuckoo on the hour. Gong and cuckoo on the hour and half-hour. Night shut-off and 2 year warranty. This charming chalet has been a long-time best seller. It has nice proportions and is beautifully colored. The dancers are animated, as well as the baby deer below. With each cuckoo call they are startled and actually jump up. New details in this piece include laser-cut windows and beautifully carved deer. The roof has individually hand-laid shingels, and the dial, hands, and bird are all of solid wood.

The sound of the bird is produced by real wooden whistles and the music box movement is made in Switzerland.

This cuckoo clock is by Rombach und Haas and is an Official Black Forest Clock, certified by the VDS.

    We love this clock (we have several and love them all). It has lots of animation and children (and adults) will stare at it in utter fascination while it cuckoos, moves, and plays music. I do not give it 5 stars because of the music, "Happy Wanderer" and "Edelweiss", two overused and in my opinion not very interesting songs. It has a high quality music box so if you like these songs, you will like the quality. We debated over this clock because of the hackneyed tunes but decided to get it anyway because overall it is a real winner, and it never fails to delight.
