This is a charming piece from Sternreiter. Experience the simplicity of life by a Black Forest barn or house. This peaceful scene depicts a typical Black Forest chalet with a still water pump and pine tree. There are paintings (done by hand!) of beautiful flowers, and there is a man in typical Bavarian costume drinking his beer.
The clock has wooden hands, bird, and a wooden dial. It is an affordable clock with all the charm of a Black Forest cottage.
The clock comes packaged in genuine recycled or renewable materials, each clock made and packaged BY HAND by craftsmen the same way they have been for hundreds of years. The cuckoo bird, hands,and numbers are all made of solid wood. The bird and beer drinker move along with the mechanically produced cuckoo call.
The sound of the bird is produced by real wooden whistles which call the hour and once at the bottom of the hour.
