Beautiful chalet cuckoo clock with animated dancers, and clockpeddler with dog. Hand-carved fugurines and trees. Laser cut details. Wooden hands, dial, numerals and cuckoo bird. 8 Day Germn Regula movement with gong and cuckoo at the top and bottom of the hour. After the call of cuckoo at the top of the hour the dancers dance to 1 of 2 melodies as the water-wheel turns. Antique stain, night shut-off and 2 year warranty.
This is a beautiful and lovingly crafted piece, with great carvings of trees, leaves, as well as a Clock-Peddler figurine and his dog. The color is applied by hand by the award-winning Conny Haas.
Clock Peddlers in the Black Forest used to carry their wares on a large backpack. As this figure goes around with the music, one might imagine a Clock Peddler wandering over the hills and through storybook forests hundreds of years ago.
The hands, numbers and calling bird are all of solid wood, and this musical cuckoo includes a shut-off switch.
