Before the cuckoo came into vogue many other animated figures were used on Black Forest clocks. Bell ringing monks, laughing faces, and the dumpling eater were charming examples.

This clock is an authentic replica of a Black Forest clock of the early Nineteenth Century. The Hand-painted shield clock features a three dimensional figure of a monk who pulls the bell striking the hour and half-hour. Each clock is slightly different making each one a one-of-a-kind. Antique brass weights and 2 year warranty.

The Kapuziner is hand painted by the award-winning Conny Haas of Rombach und Haas.
