Modest in price, but rich in detail and innovative design, this time piece brings a new dimension to modern home decor. Artist David Kuyt skillfully merges the complexity of form and diversity of colors into, what is unquestionably, a beautiful clock, at home and engaged in a modern setting.
A natural finish on the solid cherry gears accentuates the subtleties of the quarter-sawn grain. The depth and richness of the wood provides a dramatic contrast for the black dial and pattern finished aluminum accents.
As art with a pulse, this clock comes to life asthe pendulum swings and the large wooden gears visibly turn with each beat the escapement sounds. Each mechanical part is fully displayed and individually stylized. Art and mechanis blend into a, whole, functional art. What better way to enhance your living environment than with both function and art.
