Animated Cuckoo Clock, Hand painted Flowers, Model #96/10

The model #96/10 Animated Cuckoo Clock from Anton Schneider is hand carved and features 5 leaves and 1 bird that sits atop the crest. There are also 2 animated birds at the bottom which move during the call of cuckoo to feed the nest at the bottom middle. It measures 12 inches tall and has hand painted flowers.

This cuckoo clock uses the #25 German Regula one day movement, which means it must be wound daily. This movment is run by gravity which is driven by two cast iron weights which apply weight to a brass chain which is threaded thru the movement and over the drive gears.

The cuckoo clock has wooden dial, numbers, and a wooden cuckoo bird which calls the hour and calls once on the half-hour. All the wood work is colored in antique stain and there is a night shut off switch to silence the cuckoo call at night or any other time you do not wan to hear the clock call cuckoo.
