This Tudor style Black Forest house cuckoo clock has the scene of a moving wanderer. The wanderer moves to the call of cuckoo on the hour and half-hour. After the call of cuckoo one of two melodies will play as the hand crafted, hand painted dancers dance and the water wheel turns. The two melodies are Edelweiss and The Wanderer but are subject to change. Music is provided by a Swiss music box which plays the 2, 22 note melodies.
The clock is powered by gravity produced by three cast iron weights shaped like pine cones. The drive chains are made of tarnish resistant brass and feed up through the clock gears to provide drive power. The mechanism is the Regula model 25 which is made of brass and is easy to service. There is also a night shut-off switch for quiet time or night use.
This cuckoo clock is made by Anton Schneider in Schonach, Germany and has a full two year warranty.
