This is a small Black Forest chalet cuckoo clock which has an animated beer drinker. He is sitting at the table and with each call of the cuckoo the beer drinker takes a drink of beer. His trusty dog is watching the act and there are two, 3D, carved trees in the background.
At the top of the hour the cuckoo bird will emerge from the door at the top and call the hour and then return to its nest as the door closes. At the bottom of the hour the cuckoo appears and calls only once to mark the half-hour. During the call of cuckoo the beer drinker drinks to each call. There is a night shut-off switch for quiet time or night use. This clock has a two year manufacturer’s warranty.
Anton Schneider is the manufacturer of this fine cuckoo clock and it is made in Schonach, Germany. This clock has a one day movement which must be wound daily. It is very reliable and easy to service. Two cast iron pine cones hang below the clock on tarnish resistant brass chains. These weights apply gravity to the chain which transmits up thru the gears in the clock driving the movement, time and cuckoo call.
