This small Black Forest chalet cuckoo clock has rain barrels attached at the top by the cuckoo’s door. It is a very simple scene with a tree, wood pile, boulder and fountain nearby.
At the top of the hour the cuckoo bird will emerge from the door at the top and call the hour and then return to its nest as the door closes. At the bottom of the hour the cuckoo appears and calls only once to mark the half-hour. There is a night shut-off switch for quiet time or night use. This clock has a two year manufacturer’s warranty.
Anton Schneider is the manufacturer of this fine cuckoo clock and it is made in Schonach, Germany. This clock has a one day movement which must be wound daily. It is very reliable and easy to service. Two cast iron pine cones hang below the clock on tarnish resistant brass chains. These weights apply gravity to the chain which transmits up thru the gears in the clock driving the movement time and cuckoo call.
