The Black Forest farmhouse style cuckoo clock is very colorful and would work great for any home decor. There are flowers decorating each window sill and fretwork to help set off the unique look. A stair case a watch balcony has been added to this neat little clock. Wood is piled high and there is a fountain on the left side of the clock. At the bottom hand-painted flowers have been added by a Black Forest Artisan.
Anton Schneider is the manufacturer of this fine cuckoo clock in Schonach, Germany. This clock has a one day movement which must be wound daily. It is very reliable and easy to service. Two cast iron pine cones hang below the clock on tarnish resistant brass chains. These weights apply gravity to the chain which transmits up thru the gears in the clock driving the movement, time and cuckoo call.
At the top of the hour the cuckoo bird will emerge from the door at the top and call the hour and then return to its nest as the door closes. At the bottom of the hour the cuckoo appears and calls only once to mark the half-hour. There is a night shut-off switch for quiet time or night use. This clock has a two year manufacturer’s warranty.
