This Black Forest house cuckoo clock features incredible art and care of the Black Forest clockmakers. It is hand painted by, the award winning, Conny Haas. This fine cuckoo clock is hand made in the Black Forest of Germany by Rombach and Haas.
The mechanical brass movement is driven by two weights and the time escapes with the tick of a traditional pendulum which swings back and forth. When the clock strikes the hour and half-hour the door at the top opens, a cuckoo bird appears and calls along with a gong strike. The cuckoo call is made by two wooden whistles with bellows inside the clock case. There is even a shut-off switch for quiet time and night use. Watch the video below.
