This Tudor style Black Forest house cuckoo clock shows moving hiker and religious shrine. The clock is very colorful and has hand spliced shingle roof. The windows all have open shudders and flowers below each window. The hiker is animated and on a stroll. There are hand carved trees and boulders.
The hiker is animated and moves to the call of cuckoo. After the call of cuckoo the dancers dance and the water wheel turns as the 2 melody, 22 note music box plays.
The clock is made by Anton Schneider in Schonach, Germany. It uses the German Regula musical movement which is reliable and easy to service. Three cast iron pine cones apply gravity to the brass, tarnish resistant chains which drive the movement, time and cuckoo call. A night shut-off switch is also standard for quiet time or night use. The pendulum swings back and forth to allow the escapement of the mechanical mechanism.
