This is a reproduction of an 1870 cuckoo clock from Rombach und Haas of the Black Forest of Germany. The clock is very interesting and has beautiful fretwork and color. It looks as if it came off the wall of a museum, or 19th Century cottage.
The intricately cut filigree case is cut so that the black from underneath shows thru and sets of the ultimate of patterns.
The hands, numerals and calling bird are all made of solid wood. The weight shells and pendulum are antiqued brass. This clock would be perfect for both a traditional or exotic decor.
