This is a larger quartz cuckoo clock made by Anton Schneider. They built this basic model cuckoo clock for the person on the go and it is equipped with a quartz or battery powered mechanism, musical movement.
This cuckoo clock does not need to be wound and the batteries will last about a year before needing to be changed. It has 5 hand-carved leaves and 1 bird among the branches. It measures 13.4" tall and will fit any decor. The clock is made in Schonach, Germany and stocked in the United States. The cuckoo clock has wooden dial and hands and comes with two plastic ornamental weights. The clock is stained in a dark antique color which is typical for most cuckoo clocks.
At the top of the hour the cuckoo bird will emerge from the top door and call the hour. Each call has an echo in the background. After the call of cuckoo the bird goes back into the clock and one of 12 delightful German folk songs will play. Schneider covers this cuckoo clock with a 2 year warranty which is serviceable within the United States and around the world.
Model #Q 90/9 Traditional Musical Quartz Cuckoo Clock
Music plays after the call of cuckoo, a different song each hour, mainly German folk songs. Melodies are not guaranteed, and subject to change, but currently include:
I don't know what it means
Oh my Darling
My father was a wanderer
Listen what walks in from outdoors
Up the mountain in the morning dew
In the green forest where the thrush sings
Oh Donna Clara
Black-brown is the hazelnut
Cuckoo, Cuckoo's calls from the forest
All the birds are already there
There is a mill in the Black Forest valley
A bird wanted to get married
