This curved roof chalet cuckoo clock with animated bears and dancing woodchucks is a very popular cuckoo clock and on the Schneider best seller list.
The cuckoo clock is 17.7” tall from the top of the gable to the bottom most part of the cuckoo clock. This does not count the pendulum or weights. The clock is made in Schonach, Germany by Anton Schneider. There are a group of hand-carved trees in the background.
Three cast iron pine cones apply gravity to the tarnish resistant chains which drive the movement, time and cuckoo call. The pendulum gently swings back and forth to control the timing of this fine Black Forest cuckoo clock.
During the call of cuckoo a bear moves at the bottom of the clock. The music then starts to play one of two melodies that change each hour. During this time four wood chucks dance on the balcony as the water-wheel turns. Please watch the video below to see and hear the function of this great cuckoo clock.
