This luxurious cuckoo clock is made by the Anton Schneider Black Forest Cuckoo Clock Company in Schonach Germany. The clock is made of extra deep carved linden wood which is a reforestable product grown in the Black Forest. The wood carvings are of a single bird which sits on the crest with hand-carved leaves on each side. Below are carved branches, more leaves and two birds on the side. This cuckoo clock is 13.8" tall and uses the German Regula #25 mechanical mechanism, which is the best on the market today. This beautiful cuckoo clock has a lacquered walnut finish. It also has wooden dial, hands, cuckoo bird and the standard 2 year warranty.
At the top of the hour the cuckoo bird will emerge from the door at the top and cuckoo once for each hour and then go back inside as the door shuts behind. At the bottom of the hour cuckoo will call only once and return to his nest. This cuckoo clock must be wound daily by pulling down on each chain opposite the weights. Gravity drives the cuckoo call and time so the clock is very energy efficient.

My family and I were thrilled when our clock arrived , even more thrilled when we hung it proudly on the wall ! It is just beautiful ! A work of art really. Our clock is everything & more as discribed by Cuckoo Kingdom. And I must mention Cuckoo Kingdoms service ! Five stars just like our clock. Minutes and I mean miutes after completing the purchase on line with them I received an email confirming & informing me it has been shipped ! Coud'nt be more please with them. So very happy we purchased with them & would sugest Cuckoo Kingdom with anyone considering buying a German Black Forrest cuckoo clock.. We often find ourselves laughing when the tiny little cuckoo bird inside his beautiful home comes out for its " job " ! My daughter said the cuckoo bird is so cute she has given it the name Pee-Wee ! We will treasure the clock for many years to come.
