Product Description

This Schneider cuckoo clock is made of hand-carved linden wood which is a reforestable product grown in the Black Forest. The wood carvings are of a single bird which sits on the crest with hand-carved leaves on each side. Below are carved branches, more leaves and two squirrels. This cuckoo clock is 9.1" tall and uses the German Regula #25 mechanical mechanism, which is reliable and service friendly. This beautiful cuckoo clock has a lacquered walnut finish. It also has wooden dial, numerals, hands and cuckoo bird and the standard 2 year warranty and is made by the Anton Schneider Black Forest Cuckoo Clock Company in Schonach Germany.

At the top of the hour the cuckoo bird will emerge from the door at the top and call once for each hour and then go back inside as the door shuts behind. At the bottom of the hour cuckoo will call only once and return to his nest. This cuckoo clock must be wound daily by pulling down on each chain opposite the weights. Gravity drives the cuckoo call and time so the clock is very energy efficient.
