This Tudor style Black Forest chalet cuckoo clock shows two children on an animated teeter-totter. The clock is very colorful and has 3D trees and some ducks on the right side. The windows all have open shudders and flowers below each window. This is a musical cuckoo clock and animated dancing children to complete the scene.
After the call of cuckoo the dancers dance and the children teeter-totter as the 2 melody, 22 note music box plays.
The clock is made by Anton Schneider in Schonach, Germany. It uses the German Regula 1 day musical movement which is reliable and easy to service. Three cast iron pine cones apply gravity to the brass, tarnish resistant chains which drive the movement, time and cuckoo call. This clock has night shut off switch for quiet time or night use. The pendulum swings back and forth to allow the escapement of the mechanical mechanism. The cuckoo call is created by two bellows mounted on top of whistles inside the clock and actuated by wires at the correct time.
