Chalet Cuckoo Clock with Animated Umpa Band, Dancers, Water-wheel and Bell-ringer, Model #8TMT 1373/9
This 8 day musical cuckoo clock has lots of animation. It all starts at the top of the hour as the cuckoo bird calls the hour and the bell-ringer pulls the rope to sound the towns’ bell chime. After that one of two melodies begins to play as the dancers dance. The musicians move to play their music and the water wheel turns. This clock plays two melodies that change with each hour.
The cuckoo clock is 17.7" tall from the top of the roof gable to the bottom most part of the cuckoo clock. This does not count the pendulum or weights. The clock is made in Schonach, Germany by Anton Schneider.
Three cast iron pine cones apply gravity to the tarnish resistant chains which drive the movement, time and cuckoo call. The pendulum gently swings back and forth to control the timing of this fine Black Forest cuckoo clock.
