This is a medieval reproduction of the Black Forest Rock Clock. In 1640 the "Waaguhr" was the first mechanical clock that was affordable by the middle class in Europe, see model #7640. It’s simple design allowed for only one wooden hand indicating the hours. The average person of the Seventeenth Century measured time with only three times of day: sunrise, high noon, and sunset.
The “All Are Mine” clock, model #7641, tells a story of the medieval mindset in chilling detail. The hand painted and hand-carved figures depict the rich, the pious, the young, the old, and royalty. Death stands above them all, swinging his scythe.
The mechanism is made of wood including wooden gears and is powered by a rock from the Black Forest of Germany. "All Are Mine" is made by Rombach und Haas and has a 2 year manufacturer’s warranty.
